How do i reformat my windows xp computer without the windows xp CD?

Even though you do not have a CD drive on the computer, you can, however, install XP with a flash drive. The main problem is you will STILL need an XP CD to copy the files to the flash drive. See if any of your friends have an XP CD and use that one. Other than that, there’s nothing you can really do other than buy a copy of Windows and install it.

If the computer did not come with an XP disk then there is probably a way to do a Factory Restore within the computer. You could have a look in the manual for this. If you don’t have a hardcopy manual then there is probably one on the computer somewhere. Or you could download one from the manufacturer’s website. Dell computers, for example, have a Factory Restore that you can access by pressing on boot. Acers have a Factory Restore that you can find in All Programs, under Acer Utilities I think. Other makes are different.
