The freezing of your laptop is not caused by a virus but by data corruption on the boot sector of your drive, solution is to boot laptop with bootable winxp cd, on the first prompt enter R for repair, it then takes you to a dos screen enter your drive number and admin password if any it then logs you in….enter FIXMBR answer all answer yes then lastly enter FIXBOOT at the prompt answer all answer yes to rewrite bootsector and finally enter CHKDSK /F to check for inconsistency and problem fixing after that you’re done.
