Insert the Windows XP installation CD into the computer’s CD-ROM drive. Restart the computer and let Windows XP start to install. Accept the license agreement. Choose your current hard drive as the location to install Windows XP. After you choose the hard drive, there will appear an option to format the drive. Choose the option to format that drive by hitting the key listed in the instructions. Choose the full format. Your hard drive will be reformatted and you can then finish installing Windows XP.
