you can change screen resolution to shrink icons or you can leave the resolution alone and change the icon size to do this right click on a blank area of the desk top click properties click the appearance tab click the advanced button you’ll see a field marked item click the down pointing arrow scroll down to icon then you can change the icon size and font if you wish
