How do I Reduce Dark Undereye Circles / Tighten Eye Area?
Your eye area is like a Facebook status update: It reveals everything about what’s going on in your life — like whether you’ve been partying hard, working longer hours, or even slacking on the sunscreen.
Follow these 10 steps –
1. Eat healthy
Eating healthy is important not only for your body but your eyes. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables rich in beta carotene help you have healthy eyes. Your mother was right, eating carrots will help your eyesight! Here is a brief list of fruits and vegetables that promote healthy vibrant eyes:
Carrots
Spinach
Papaya
Mango
2. Stop rubbing your eyes
One of the many causes of dark circles under eyes is caused by broken blood vessels. Weak blood vessels under your eyes break and bruise causing dark circles under eyes. When you rub your eyes you break blood vessels under your eyes and unintentionally cause dark circles under eyes. If your eyes are bothering you try blinking instead. It provides a nice massage and exercise to eyes.
3. Rest
Sleep is a classic treatment for dark circles and puffy eyes because it works. Without quality sleep the face literally sags. When you sleep circulation increases throughout your body; including your face and eyes. However, one important thing to remember is sleeping with your head slightly elevated. If you sleep with your head on a downward angle fluids in your body can rest in your eye area causing puffy eyes.
4. Cold for the eyes
Cold temperatures are good for your eyes. They help reduce puffy eyes and sooth tired eyes. There are numerous ways to apply something cold to your eyes. You can cut cucumber slices or potato slices and apply them to closed eyes for ten minutes. Other remedies are applying a cold spoon to the eyes or even splashing cold water to eyes. The cold helps to avoid under eye wrinkles and dark circles around the eyes.
5. Milk
As a child, your mother probably told you to drink lots of milk in order to grow; but she never mentioned applying milk to your eyes. If you’re like most women, wearing mascara usually causes dark circles under eyes. Although these can be removed easily with makeup removers some products are harsh on the eyes. Milk is a good and safe natural cleanser. Use a clean cotton ball dipped in milk to clean your eyes.
6. Rose Water
Attractive people usually have that spark and glow to their eyes that is contagious. A neat trick for eyes that sparkle is glowing eyes insert 2 drops of pure rose water using a dropper. This also gives you a special eye lift.
7. RevitaLume
RevitaLume is a great dark circles eye treatment that works. It removes dark circles under eyes and puffy eyes in days! For some people, like myself it works in just one day. This product is gentle and light enough to wear under your makeup. Simply apply the gel to your under eyes in the morning and before bed. You will notice those dark circles fade away!
8. Wear Sunglasses
Shield your eyes from harmful UV rays with sunglasses. The best time to use sunglasses are during peak daytime hours when the sun is at its strongest. Protecting your eyes from the sun will prevent fine lines, wrinkles, and crows feet. It also prevents skin from darkening under the eyes.
9. No late night drinks
Limit yourself from drinking too many fluids before bedtime. This can contribute to building fluid around the eyes during sleep; meaning most likely you’ll wake up with puffy eyes. Take small sips instead.
10. Using Eyelastin
Eyelastin Under Eye Cream claims to give your eyes a more youthful and vibrant appearance by penetrating deeply to hydrate the skin and retain moisture all day long. Eyelastin supposedly prevents dark circles, puffiness, baggy looking eyes, crow’s feet, under eye swelling, fine lines and wrinkles.

Use any natural oil. Extra virgin olive oil works well for many.
Additionally facial yoga exercises help a great deal. Find on You Tube. Do the “The lion face” and try to hold for 30 seconds. A variation of that is protruding the tongue as if trying to touch tip of nose with tip of tongue.
YOGA MEDITATION is a great help and is easy to do. It enables you to completely relax and gives you deep, restful sleep. 6 or 7 hours of restful sleep is considerably more beneficial than 8 or 9 more hours of non restful sleep. I found Siddha Yoga meditation was the most beneficial.
1. Start with a very light coating of Super GHK-Copper Cream or Serum, or CP Night Eyes Premier, once a day very lightly. the cp night eyes PREMIER is the milder form of cp night eyes. ALWAYS start with the mildest form of copper-peptide first. 2. One approach is to use emu oil one night to replenish skin lipids, then Super GHK-Copper Cream or CP Night Eyes Premier every other night. 3. If SRCP product is too strong, you can dilute with water. Take 1-2 drops of the SRCP serum and add 3-4 drops water. To dilute a cream, base the skin first with Emu Oil. Then lightly apply the SRCP cream. The biological healing oil (emu oil) will slow down the rate of penetration, making the copper-peptide product milder. 4. Important Note: Use ONLY a light application. Too often, people think more is better, but when the skin is in a fragile state it is imperative to go slowly. 5. Exfol Cream (2% hydroxy acid) or LacSal Cream (10% hydroxy acid) can be used very lightly to help exfoliate. DO NOT over use
