Short answer: If you want to record to an Audio and a MIDI-track simultaneously, select the Audio-track in the Arrange window, record-enable it, and then select the MIDI track while holding the Shift key. Both tracks will now be selected and record-enabled. Long answer: In “recording options” (long click on the record button), ensure that “auto demix by channel if multitrack recording” is checked. Ensure each MIDI track you want to record is using a different MIDI channel, and that all your controllers are likewise transmitting on the appropriate channel to control the relevant MIDI devices on those tracks. Thus you have a limit of 16 input channels – note that port information is merged and thus lost (!). Record enable all your Audio tracks. Leave one of those selected. Now shift-click on each of the MIDI tracks’ record buttons – they will stay record-enabled. Leave one MIDI track selected in addition to the Audio track that’s already selected. Record.
