Simply plug the unit in – the unit starts to record keystrokes from the internal laptop keyboard, or desktop PS/2 keyboard, from the moment that it receives power. It records keystrokes on the internal laptop keyboard by looking at stray signals on the Mini-PCI bus inside the laptop. It records PS/2 keystrokes on on a desktop, by looking at stray signals on the PCI bus of the motherboard of the desktop.
