How do I record an image file (global image) using Sony CD Extreme software?
The main benefit of recording Global Images is fewer errors. You can create a Global Image of an actual CD or of files existing on your hard drive. Global Image: CD This procedure is useful when you need to make several copies of the same disc, and you do not want to read from the source drive every time. Often when recording a disc from a CD-Rom, the stream of information does not transfer fast enough and results in errors. Also, by having the Global-Image file stored on the hard disk, you may return the source disc immediately. Global Image: Files on Hard Drive It is also helpful to make a Global-Image when you are recording several small files from the hard drive.
