How do I read the tank and roof temperatures for my solar hot water system?

The controller defaults to show the temperature at the bottom of the water heater or solar tank (T-2). To alternate between viewing the temperature of sensor 1 (roof) & sensor 2 (tank) or the temperature difference between sensor 1 and 2 (differential temperature), press the “down arrow” key until the desired temperature reading is shown in the display. Note: Hot water to the home is drawn from the top of the water heater where the water is the hottest.
