How do I read the full-text of a magazine, newspaper, or journal article on the Internet?
• A. Some magazines, newspapers, and journals have web sites where you can read the full-text of an article free of charge. Often, however, these web sites provide only articles from the current issue. Many do not provide access to articles in back issues unless you pay them a fee for each article. Some do not provide access to back issues at all. Because these articles are copyrighted, many publishers do not wish to make them available for free. The NICC Virtual Library generally avoids linking to web sites that require you to pay a fee. Access to commercial online databases of magazine and journal articles is coming soon.
