How do I read the CEF (non-PUF) and GIP status reports?
Endowment ID ID given to the endowment or fund in order to track it on the financial system. CEF endowments start with D or E, GIP accounts start with F, GIP funds start with 0. Type True, Quasi-Restricted or Quasi-Unrestricted (see above definitions). GIP funds may also say “unitized current accounts.” These are not endowments, but rather long-term funds which have been deposited to GIP until they will be spent. Pool CEF or GIP (see above definitions). Historic Book Value Value of gifts or additions when deposited (no appreciation). Total Units CEF and GIP are unitized pools. Money invested in the pools buy units. This entry reports total units purchased in the specified pool. Market value per unit This is the total market value of the pool divided by the total number of units in the pool, or Net Asset Value (NAV).
