How do I read my gas & electricity meters?!?

First of all you need to establish how many readings/rates you have. Do you have your last bill from BG that you could look at? Then look at the elec meter face on, take down the number, press the button (if you have one) and take the next numbers etc. If you have a multi rate, then you will have several including the date, time and possibly a row of zeros. No need to give these over. The gas meter will either be metric or imperial and will only have 1 reading. If this is straightforward, then write that down (it shoule be separated by a decimal point). If it’s a dial meter, then give the number of each dial (if it’s between 2 numbers, always give the lowest). When you’ve taken the numbers, check your last bill to identify which is which. Good luck!
