How do I reach Pollachi from Chennai/Bangalore?
If you are taking a train, the nearest railway stations to Pollachi are Coimbatore Junction and Podanur Junction. It will take 8 hours to Coimbatore from both Chennai and Bangalore. Pollachi is just another 45 minutes drive from Coimbatore. (Broad gauge conversion works are ongoing in Pollachi railway station) If you are taking a bus from Chennai/Bangalore, please note that you don’t have to come via Coimbatore. There are direct bus services to Pollachi from Chennai/Bangalore that are run by TNSTC, KSRTC and other private bus operators like KPN, ABT, ARC, TKT, TAT, Santhamani Travels etc. The journey duration is around 8 hours from Bangalore and 10 hours from Chennai.
