How do I raise the oil temperature while processing oil (for a two tank system only)?
We recommend using a hot water heating element, this can be purchased at your local hardware store for ~$15. The hot water heating element is threaded into a 1″ metal tee so that the oil comes into contact with and flows past the heating element and into the centrifuge thus raising the temperature of the oil (Installation). Temperature of the oil is dependent on what type (wattage) of a hot water heating element is used. By using a candy thermometer you can measure the temperature of the oil after it passes the heating element and a thermostat can be used to keep the oil at this temperature. Once you figure out your desired temperature then determine your flow rate because oil becomes less viscous as the temperature increases which means the flow rate will change along with it.
