How do I qualify pressure welders or brazers?
To obtain a pressure welder or brazer certificate in Ontario, a welder or brazer must complete a practical welding or brazing test in accordance with a TSSA registered welding or brazing procedure. 1. When the test is for an employer, this may be done using the registered procedure belonging to the employer. 2. When the test is for seeking employment it may be performed at a training facility, using the training facility?s registered procedure. 3. The employer or training facility representative contacts the TSSA inspector prior to starting the test. 4. The TSSA Inspector is involved with the test and issues a certificate after successful test completion. The fee for the test is given in the fee schedule elsewhere on this site.
