How do I qualify for the additional Direct Unsubsidized Loan?
A. Initially, all undergraduate students are offered $2000 of Direct Unsubsidized Loans in their award letters. You are eligible for additional Direct Unsubsidized Loan funds if you are independent or your parents were denied a Direct PLUS loan. The additional amounts are $4000 for each freshman and sophomore years and $5000 for each junior and senior years.
