How do I qualify and obtain interim funding if my grant is not successful in the CIHR competition?

Interim Funding is not intended to substitute for external research funding, but rather to provide limited, short-term funding to an investigator who has applied for but failed to receive CIHR funding due to budget limitations. Interim Funding is intended to provide faculty members with temporary, reduced support as a bridge to successful grant application resubmission. See HeRRO for an interim funding application. Only those investigators who have had their applications reviewed through the Internal Review process will be eligible for Interim Funding.
