If you don’t have anything on your PSP you can go to Settings -> System Settings -> Format Memory Stick, to format the memory card and create all the necessary folders. If that doesn’t work you can connect your PSP to a computer and create a new folder and name it PICTURE. I hope this works.

Creat a new folder in the root of the mem stick then name it PHOTOS then just drag n drop pics and the psp could only read jpg and png pics.

You can look in the manual you have, it should detail where the folder should go. To place photos on your PSP, you can either put them on via computer or download them from the internet, which can be accessed with your PSP.
