To insert specific page numbers in Chicago 15A footnotes: • To include specific page numbers for a reference in a footnote, highlight the citation and select the Edit Citation(s) command from the EndNote toolbar. • The EndNote Edit Citation dialogue box should open. In the box labelled Suffix type @ followed by the page number(s), e.g @ 567-569 (note: the Pages field does not seem to work for some styles) • Note: correct format of page numbers – check with your Dept. or supervisor for their requirements, however generally pages are referred to by number alone; the abbreviations p. and pp. are not be used. • Click on the OK button. • Note that the specific page numbers will not appear in the bibliography at the end of the document. These instructions will only work if the EndNote output style is configured to cope with “Cited Pages”. Chicago 15A is configured to work this way. Most EndNote output styles that provide for specific footnote formatting are also configured in this way.
