How do i put my xbox 360 hardrive on an usb stick?
You can’t put your actual hard drive on a flash drive, but you can move your game content and saves over to one. Doing so does not lesson the chances of getting or prevent the red ring of death though. To move stuff over, you need to first format a USB drive to be used on your console. Plug it into one of the ports and it will be listed as a configurable device in My Xbox-System Settings-Memory. You can use up to 16GB on a device and use 2 at a time. Once you format it (remove any content you don’t want to lose first), you can find your saves on your hard drive which is also listed in that section. Select what you want and then choose to move or copy depending on the content. Profiles can only be copied. Choose the flash drive as where you want it to go and continue doing this until you’ve moved or copied everything you want to. *You must have the latest dashboard update to use a USB drive as content storage. You get it by connecting to Xbox Live or by going here
