Joomla and the extensions designed for it are freely available to download and install. The files are downloaded as a “.zip” archive. Once the files are copied to your web server the rest of the installation is done via your web browser. Download the Joomla installation file. Place the “.zip” file into a blank directory. Navigate into the directory where you placed the “.zip” file. Unzip the file. FTP to your web server. Copy all of the extracted files onto your web server. Open a web browser.
