1. Run TomTom HOME and connect your TomTom to your computer. 2. Click Operate my Device in the HOME menu. 3. At the navigation view, click in the center of the screen. 4. From the Main Menu in your device, click Change preferences. 5. Click Set owner. You may have to click the arrow until you reach the page where Set owner is shown. If you cannot find the option for Set owner, make sure that all icons are shown on your TomTom device. Tap the icon Show ALL menu options.. 6. First, you will be asked if you would like to enter or change your address/contact details. Your address and contact details will be shown at device start-up. 7. Next you will be asked if you want to protect your TomTom with a password. Choose Yes. 8. To set the password, enter a 4-digit password twice. The next time you start your TomTom device, you will be prompted to enter your new password.
