Unscrew the TopUnscrew the top or barrel of the grease gun. Set the top piece on a clean rag, making sure not to get any dirt on it.Loading the GreaseUnscrew the top off of a tub of grease. Place the grease tub on a flat surface. Hold the grease gun barrel directly over the grease. Push the tip of the barrel into the grease so that it forms a suction vacuum. Pull back on the plunger and suck up enough grease to load the barrel.Re-Assemble the Grease GunPull the barrel out from the grease once it is full, twisting it sideways to break the grease off from the tub surface. Wipe the end of the barrel clean. Screw the top of the grease gun back onto the barrel. Pump the gun several times to purge any remaining old grease from the nozzle, stop once you see the new grease emerge from the tip.
