How do I properly install my J&D Poly Livestock Waterer?
Complete installation instructions for your unit can be downloaded here. J&D recommends the following basic guidelines: • Place unit on a concrete pad to help with drainage and to prevent a mud hole from forming. • Caulk or weather strip the base of the waterer to the concrete pad. This helps with wind penetration. • Make sure electrical units are installed by a qualified electrician. A properly grounded receptacle unit acceptable for outdoor use will need to be installed and protected from the weather. • A qualified plumber should bury the water supply line below the ground freeze line. • Use an Insulated Earth Tube to help prevent freezing in cold climates.
