How do I properly identify brake pads & rotors?
The current process is as follows: Step #1: IDENTIFY what brake system is on vehicle i.e. BOSCH, PERROT, WABCO ——-This info is stamped on the caliper; THIS IS THE ONLY METHOD, at this time. Step #2: Access DATACARD to obtain axle serial number, ——-This info is referred to in the Footnotes for rotors. Step #3: Select the VA group (AGG) for front or rear axle. Step #4: Select the wheel brake sub group ——-For front axle: select item 23 for pads needed for type of system ——-Item 5 for rotors (see footnote for serial number split) ——-Item 53 for calipers by system type. For rear axle: select illustration that matches the axle number from Datacard ——–Note: 741408 are the same as 741411 for single wheel axle 741130/131 is for dual wheel axle ——-Select item 35 for Pads need by system type ——-Item 5 for Rotors (see footnote for serial number split) ——-Item 25 for Calipers by system type.
