Check with your local solid waste authority for advice. Your local solid waste authority may or may not have a hazardous waste disposal service for old medications. Otherwise, speak to a pharmacy or veterinary clinic for the best way to dispose of medications in your area. Many pharmacies and veterinary clinics will accept expired or leftover medications and dispose of them properly for you.
