Coverage allows a call ringing at one extension (a sender) to ring at another extension (a receiver) at the same time and to be answered at either extension. It is not necessary for the sender and receiver to have shared personal lines or Shared System Access buttons. Programming Codes: Primary Cover *40 and extension number of sender Secondary Cover *41 and extension number of sender Use the procedure below to program individual coverage buttons: On an Analog multiline phone: • Slide the T/P switch on the left-hand side of the telephone down to the P (Programming) position to enter programming mode. • Press the button you want to program and dial the appropriate code as listed above. • Slide the T/P switch back to the center to exit programming mode.
