How do I program a second key for a 2005 Nissan Altima?
I just purchased a 2005 Altima and it only came with one key and fob. I bought a blank online, had it cut and now want to use it on my car. I have read varying reports online that it is possible and others that say the opposite. If it is possible without forking over large sums of money to the dealer I would like to know. Thanks in advance for your answers. A: I’d say you have a problem in that it needs to be programmed as you seem to be aware. A good lock and key firm would have to necessary equipment to do this and it won’t cost too much, certainly a fraction of the dealer price. You need a spare ços if you lose your key it’s dealer dance time. I had a spare cut for my late model ford here in Oz last week, at $A120. They told me the dealer price if I lost it would be thousands.
