How do I print to our printers under StarOffice?

We have chosen to do nothing special with printing under StarOffice 7. The print driver for the Generic Printer has the settings that we need in the majority of cases including duplex (double sided) capability. However, to use the Generic Printer under StarOffice you have to have your PRINTER environment variable set so that the printer output is sent somewhere. To set the PRINTER environment variable do the following depending on what shell you are using.
