How do I print my InDesign booklet in the labs?
1. Go to File > Print Booklet 2. In the Print Booklet dialog box, select your desired booklet type and settings. 3. Click “Print Settings…” and select “Adobe PDF” as your printer. 4. Under the “Setup” tab on the left-hand side, select your desired paper size and page orientation. 5. Click “OK” and “Print.” On a PC, select Work In Progress as your save location. On Mac, your PDF file will automatically save to Work In Progress. 6. Open the resulting PDF in Acrobat Professional. 7. Go to File > Page Setup to select your printer, paper size and orientation. Go to File > Print. DO NOT change “Page Scaling:” to “Booklet Printing.” 8. On a Mac: change “Copies & Pages” to “Layout.” Under the “Two-Sided” section, select either “Long-Edge Binding” or “Short-Edge Binding,” depending on your paper size and binding method (e.g., short-edge binding for a booklet printed on tabloid paper that will be folded in half lenght-wise). On a PC: click Properties > Finishing tab and change “Booklet Layout”
