How do I prevent my dog from getting Parvo?
Parvo is a very nasty, expensive and often fatal disease which can be prevented by vaccinating. We start vaccinating at 7 weeks, and continue to do boosters every 3 weeks until the dog reaches 16 weeks. The exception is in “at risk” breeds, which we administer an additional booster in week 18. The “at risk” breeds include Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Boxers, German Shepherds, Labradors, Great Danes, Mastiffs and other giant breeds.
