How do i prepare porch railings for paint?
Unlike interior walls, porch railings require additional care before adding paint. Whether they are made of wood or iron, porch railings are prone to wear and tear from weather and overall usage. Before adding a fresh coat of paint, repair any damaged pieces such as nicks, scratches and loose decorative or functional railings. While painting, avoid working in direct sunlight or attempting this project while it is raining or damp. Choose a day that is not windy to prevent dirt and dust from mixing with the paint.RepairCarefully inspect every area on the railing to look for damage.
