How Do I Potty Train A Basset Hound Puppy That Kinda Knows How To Use Puppy Pads?
Basset hounds can be a pain to house train especially the females and sometimes they never end up completely house trained but heres what to do, every day you need to gradually move the puppy pads closer to the front door or whatever door it is the puppy needs to get at to go outside, if the puppy has an accident in the home then your going too fast for the puppy to catch on, so put the pad back one. When you do manage to get the puppy pad to the door, keep the door open when you know its time for the puppy to use the pad put the puppy on a lead and take the pad with you outside make sure the pad has been used at least once already because the scent will help alot, go to where you want the puppy to do its business and wait until the puppy is done you need to get the puppy used to going to this spot every day other wise it will not work aswell.
