How do I post equations created in Math Type Lite software?
In MathType Lite? You can’t. If, that is, you’re talking about posting them here. In fact, it’s difficult to post them anywhere without taking a screen shot of a MathType Lite equation, then inserting the image.
The full version of MathType gives a much better experience with forums such as Experts123. We’ll eventually have a dedicated translator for Experts123, but until we do, you can choose the Google Docs translator (Preferences menu, Cut & Copy Preferences). Then create your equation and copy & paste it here — like this one: .

I wanted to edit my previous answer to add information about adding images. (I didn’t change the previous answer; only added this paragraph.) This is a GIF image created in MathType and uploaded here: . You can’t do this with MathType Lite, and it’s more difficult than what I described above, because you can’t upload it to Experts123. The image must be hosted elsewhere, such as a file-sharing site (like Dropbox) or a photo-sharing site (like Picasa).

Math Type is a commercial equation editor software. If you download the 30-day free trial of Math Type (www.dessci.com/en/products/mathtype/trial.asp), after 30-days it reverts to Math Type Lite which (as of the writing of this FAQ) you can keep for free forever. Math Type and Math Type Lite allow you to construct equations which you can then cut-and-paste into a discussion board message to create inline equations in your post. After cut-and-pasting into your DB message, only the code will appear in the compose message window, but the equations will render upon submit. For directions on transfering equations from Math Type to MoodleRooms and other web applications see www.dessci.com/en/support/mathtype/works_with.htm?target=moodle.
