How do I politely word a birthday invitation?
I would include a note with specific instructions in every invitation: *Due to special activities that we are planning, we will need an EXACT head count for this party. Anyone planning to attend MUST RSVP by either calling (123) 555-1212 or emailing janedoe@website.com, no later than 8/1/09. We appreciate your response and look forward to hearing from you soon!* Or *Due to special activities that we are planning, we will need an EXACT head count for this party. We will have a strict guest list. If your name does not appear on the guest list, you will not be admitted to the party. Anyone planning to attend MUST RSVP by either calling (123) 555-1212 or emailing janedoe@website.com, no later than 8/1/09. We appreciate your response and look forward to hearing from you soon!* If you don’t have enough room to fit all of that on the actual invitation, print it on a separate paper and enclose it in the invite. I would still plan to have a couple of extra marshmallow gun supplies just to be on
