How do I play QuickTime and/or RealMedia files in Windows Media Player (instead of in Media Player Classic)?
You need to have the latest version of the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack or QuickTime Alternative and/or Real Alternative installed on your computer with the QuickTime codecs and QuickTime DirectShow filter and/or RealMedia codecs and RealMedia DirectShow splitter selected during the installation. Then change the file association of the QuickTime and/or RealMedia files so that they open in Windows Media Player (WMP).
