1Find a friend with a copy of Pokemon Diamond or Pearl and sit near each other. You do not have to be near a Wi-Fi hotspot if you are just battling or trading together. Both of you must turn on your DS, and then go into the local-battle mode to play against each other. Step2Go to a Wi-Fi hotspot with your DS and Pokemon game.
