That you have a teacher is good. That they are unable to resolve your issue is bad. You should get a second opinion because I feel your issue is with your mechanics and a competent teacher should be able to help you with that. Let me try and give you some self study ideas to try and understand the issue. As you move up the scale there are things you should be doing (mechanics) to get the next progressive note. The best way to check your mechanics is to use the harmonic scale (aka the Harmonic Series) because only your mechanics work to allow you to produce each successive note.
