If you don’t have one already you will need to install a third party, directshow compatible, H.264 decoder. Decoders are available from many sources. Elecard and Main Concept both offer commercial products that have clear licensing terms. There are also “free” decoders which are complicated in terms of licensing. If you are using Windows 7, you will also need to force the use of your newly installed decoder. Windows 7 has a built-in H.264/AVC decoder which is not compatible with DepthQ®PlayerTM. NOTE: The “choose filter” option is only available in DepthQ®PlayerTM version 2.x and later Step 1: Under the “Setup” menu, select “Other Options”. Step 2: Click on the “Preferred Filters” tab.
