How do I play catch with a baseball?
Get in PositionStand just far enough away from your catch partner so that each person can comfortably throw and catch the ball. Put a snug-fitting baseball glove on your catching hand and face your partner with your feet shoulder-width apart and glove facing palm-out at chest-height. Do not stand in front of windows, vehicles, buildings or other items that could sustain damage.Throw the BaseballUse your ungloved hand to throw the baseball to your partner, aiming for their open baseball glove. Inexperienced players may try throwing underhand to each other, tossing the ball into the air, then move to faster overhand throwing as they get more control over the ball.Catch the Return ThrowResume the catching position and keep your eye on the baseball as your partner returns the throw. Catch the baseball in the fingers of the glove and close them around the ball.
