How do I plan an end-user training strategy before software roll-out?

0

I’m a junior instructional designer and I am currently developing a Computer-Based training module for a software that will be going live in a week. I received notice about the training about a month ago and I did start creating the training in PowerPoint and Captivate. However, because the software was in the development stages, it was difficult to learn the software the way the users will be utilizing it (process), capturing accurate screen shots & video, and writing the content. I was hoping that the project would be concluded a lot sooner, so that I have time to create the training. I was provided a written instructional manual and training videos to review, but it still did not reflect the customizations that were being made. I need process and I can’t seem to get it. I’m frustrated! How do I get employees requesting training development to respect my role and need for a training initiative and roll-out plan.
