You can place an award booking made on AA.com on Hold by selecting the “HOLD” button rather than the “PURCHASE” button during the award booking process. Award reservations ticketed within 21 days of departure will incur a $50 USD or $100 USD AAdvantage Award Fee for the first award plus $25 USD for each additional award (regardless of when the reservation was placed on hold). Please contact AAdvantage Reservations at 1-800-882-8880 for additional information regarding award fees.
