How do I place an Interlibrary Borrowing request on behalf of someone else?

0

Interlibrary Borrowing books can only be checked out to the person who placed the ILLiad request for the item. If you must place a request on behalf of another person: • If that person already has an ILLiad account, request their permission to log into ILLiad as them. Interlibrary Borrowing cannot provide you with their password information. • If they do not already have an ILLiad account, register for one under their name. The person whose email address is included with the registration will receive all automated notices from ILLiad and emails from Interlibrary Borrowing staff. Register with your email address if you plan to handle all correspondence about the request(s). Email ilb-lib@mit.edu to let us know if you will be registering in someone else’s name using your own email address. This will alert Interlibrary Borrowing staff to approve your registration.
