How do I participate in PensionPlus?
The University believe that PensionPlus represents a positive change and, because we expect the vast majority of you to benefit from participating in it, we have taken the decision to automatically include all eligible employees into the scheme from 1 July 2010. However, as PensionPlus is an entirely voluntary arrangement, if you do not wish to participate you can choose to opt out. In order to participate in PensionPlus, the University will need to make amendments to your Terms and Conditions of employment. It is important that you understand the changes to your Basic Pay, as you will automatically be included in PensionPlus and will be deemed to have accepted this change to your Terms and Conditions of service unless you opt-out of PensionPlus. However, if the University feels you may not benefit from participation as intended you will be contacted separately (see Question 6 for more details).
