How do I paint galvanized wrought iron?
Clean the galvanized wrought iron with a pressure washer. Remove any dust or dirt that could interfere with paint adhesion.Abrade the wrought iron by applying a galvanized metal etching primer using a 2- to 3-inch latex paintbrush. Allow the etching primer to dry and cure for at least four hours. Clean the brush with plain water.Apply a coat of oil-based enamel paint to the primed galvanized wrought iron using a 2- to 3-inch oil-based paintbrush. Allow the paint to dry for two hours, apply another coat if you can see the primer bleeding through. Clean the paintbrush with mineral spirits.
