How do I open the case of the Sparcbook?
Indeed, as opposed to many other laptops, the SparcBook 3 is neatly packed and very service friendly. Naturally, it is necessary to be very careful opening any costly equipment, but that is obvious:) The case is opened by unscrewing the two screws beneath the feet, and the screw hidden by a little rubber cork in the middle between them. After that, put the SparcBook with the display up (open t it before even unscrewing), take out the hard disk, and carefully lift the rear side (the side with the display). The thing just gets very easily opened. The display will now be detached, so you should unplug the internal display connector. After that, it is easy to unscrew the keyboard. Beware that the upper part of the SparcBook is “hinged” in the front and screwed in the back.
