Open WordPad Documents in Microsoft WorksYou can save WordPad documents in rich text format (RTF) or plain text format, both of which Microsoft Works can open. In Microsoft Works, click “File” and select “Open…” In the Open dialog box, navigate to the location, on your computer or shared computer, of the WordPad document. Click the file to select it and click “Open.” The RTF or text document opens in Microsoft Works Word Processor. Alternatively, right-click the WordPad document and select “Open with…” Choose “Microsoft Works Word Processor” from the menu.
