A Huskie Bucks Debit Account may be opened at any time during the school year with a minimum first time deposit of $25.00 (cash or check, made payable to NIU). It is accessed with the NIU OneCard. There is no minimum balance required for the account, but as it is a debit account and NOT a credit account, it may not drop below zero.
