How do I open a checking account for my new church, and what do the banks require in order to do so?
You need an EIN, name of church and mailing address, a bank resolution (obtained from the bank) and money for an initial deposit. Note: A bank resolution should be signed by the authorized treasurer and the assistant who will sign checks. The pastor and his family members should not be signers on checks.
