How do I obtain the Windows Server 2008 R2 image?
To create an image of Windows Server 2008 R2 for the VHD to be mounted in the VM Role, customers may use bits obtained through Volume Licensing (physical or electronic) to create the image. If customers have access to the Volume Licensing Service Center, they can also download the Windows Server 2008 R2 media from there. The use rights for Windows Server 2008 R2 are covered through the Windows Azure VM Role licensing.
